This was the first time that the match had been played in this format; two teams allocated as youth versus experience but definitely a Hewitt trial for remaining places. The day was fabulous, with some excellent weather and the course playing extremely well following the wet winter. The George’s fayre exceeded usual expectations and OWs enjoyed the opportunity to catch up over some competitive golf.

The match was tighter than the overall result suggests with 3 games finishing on the 18th and 3 more on the 17th. Congratulations to Mark & Charlie for winning the Captains’ Coasters.

The day has helped us to select the team to play against Lancing in April with David Bonsall, Chris Fell, Tim Rowan-Robinson and Ben Twiney securing the last four places. Congratulations to them and thanks to those in contention who have missed out this year for their commitment.
